Paul Brandt receives honorary degree at Briercrest College Graduation

One of Canada’s top country stars was awarded an honorary doctorate degree during a graduation ceremony at Briercrest College and Seminary.
Paul Brandt, along with Rev. Bud Penner, received a doctor of divinity from the school on Saturday.
The audience were also treated to a special performance by Brandt where he swopped his mortarboard for a cowboy hat.

He addressed the audience saying “I always wanted to be a doctor,”
Brandt spoke about how he began his career as a country singer with high record sales but soon realized his marriage and his beliefs were more important than his career.
He explained how he went on to use his musical talent to spread the word of God as an unsigned artist.
